Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it. ~Fyodor Dostoevsky
Hi, I'm Katie. I grew up in chaos, survived childhood trauma, and found Christianity at nine years old. I went to Bible school, got kicked out because I was poor, and later married a man I met there—who had been told that with enough faith in God, he could live a straight life. He truly believed it. A decade and two kids later, we faced the truth and ended our marriage.
I no longer call myself a Christian, but I still believe the teachings of Jesus are good, moral, and just. In today’s political climate, where Christian Nationalism distorts faith into a tool for power, I’m here to push back. With my biblical knowledge and personal experience, I’m asking the hard questions: What would Jesus actually do in today’s America?
